On the morning of October 4, 2020, Fort Qu’Appelle EMS and RCMP responded to a complaint of an injured person who was located in a rural field north of Fort Qu’Appelle, SK. The victim had suffered severe injuries requiring hospital treatment.

The investigation, led by the Regina RCMP General Investigation Section, involved the assistance of many RCMP Detachments and RCMP support units, the Saskatoon Police Service and Regina Police Service. The investigation determined the victim met three suspects outside of a nightclub in Regina and left in a vehicle with them. The victim was beaten, tortured and robbed. The suspects attempted to access the victim’s bank account. The victim was then taken to a field outside of Fort Qu’Appelle, further beaten and left unconscious. Hours later a passerby saw the victim and called 911.
