Blaine Lake man charged with 2018 murder seeks bail

Stephen Greyeyes was arrested on Jan. 28 in the Prince Albert area

SASKATOON – A Blaine Lake man charged with second-degree murder has a show cause hearing scheduled in Saskatoon Provincial Court on April 7.

Stephen David James Greyeyes, 33, was arrested on Jan. 28 in the Prince Albert area. He is additionally charged with committing an indignity to a body.

Saskatchewan RCMP Major Crimes Unit say that 66-year-old Deanna Greyeyes was found deceased in a rural area near Muskeg Lake Cree Nation on Nov. 28, 2018. She had been reported missing to Blaine Lake RCMP a day earlier.

The charges against Stephen Greyeyes haven’t been proven in court.
