Body of missing man retrieved from Bradwell Reservoir

On the day of the incident, a five year old was retrieved from the water and transported to hospital by STARS, where he was declared deceased.

A five year old and a 51 year old are dead after their canoe capsized.

BRADWELL RESERVOIR — After going missing when a canoe capsized on Bradwell Reservoir, the body of a man who was unaccounted for has been recovered.

RCMP say that around 8 a.m. July 12, an adult male was located deceased in the water at Bradwell Reservoir. The 51-year-old deceased male was recovered by the RCMP underwater recovery team.

His family has been notified.

The search began on July 7 at approximately 6:35 p.m., after two people went into the water when their canoe capsized. A five year old was retrieved from the water and transported to hospital by STARS, where he was declared deceased.

A search of the reservoir was undertaken with assistance from Allan Fire Department, Allan Search and Rescue and Saskatoon Police Service Air Services.
