Summer seems to have flew by for most residents in Bredenbury. The month of July was spent bailing water and gutting basements after the flood rains the end of June.

Summer seems to have flew by for most residents in Bredenbury. The month of July was spent bailing water and gutting basements after the flood rains the end of June. Now everyone is busy trying to see what needs to be done to get back to normal living. Special thanks to all the volunteers who helped out. It was really appreciated by the Town of Bredenbury and community.

Deepest sympathy to Louise Webster and family on the passing of her son-in-law Peter, who was married to Debbie residing in Russell.

The Town of Bredenbury has hired Grant Bassingthwaite from Saltcoats as our new town man.

Ivan Rodgers of Fredericton is visiting with family and relatives.

Peter Janett spent some time in Saskatoon with Lori & ralph while attending three family weddings.

Big "thank-you" to the volunteers that scrubbed and cleaned the rink kitchen and also put supplies from the celebration back in the rink.

Brenda Herron is visiting Stan Bombridge & family of Edmonton and Murray & Fay Cowan this week.

Margaret Nicholson visited her parents John & Peggy Gill of Saskatoon who celebrated their 71st anniversary. Congratulations.

Gerald & Darlene Burman, Penny & Charlie La Rocque spent some time at Clear Lake & Swan River this past week.

Bredenbury Gold Course is up and running with temporary greens and many water hazards. The membership tournament will be held Sept. 14, 2014. Watch for posters and information on this event. Don't forget to get your raffle tickets as this will be drawn then.

Irene Badowich, Debbie Bulitz and children flew to Toronto to visit with her son Frank Badowich and family.

Lana & Mario Sumner spent some time in Bredenbury and Burgis Beach visiting with Louise and family & friends.

Charlene Astron of Leduc, AB visited with Arnold and Sheila Vickers. While here they visited with Louise Webster of Yorkton.

Margaret Sarauer of Prince George & Bob and Diane Miller of Regina Beach stopped in Bredenbury on their way home from Onanole, MB where they attended a graveside service of Beatrice Fink (Porter) former resident of Bredenbury.

Deepest sympathy to relatives and friends of late Walter Bligh formerly of Bredenbury who resided in Melville Nursing Home. A graveside service was held in Bredenbury and lunch followed at the Busy Bees.

The Know United Church will be holding services starting in Sept. Rev. Walter Farquharson will be the presiding minister for sept. 7, 14 & 21st.

Sept. 14 - Bredenbury & Saltcoats will meet in Bredenbury at 9:30

Sept. 21 - One service on charge in Saltcoats at 9:30 for Langenburg, Bredenbury & Saltcoats.

The Community is finding it very different without our grocery store. Big thank you to Ken and Rose for providing this service for many years. You are certainly missed.

The Post office is operating in the Round Up Butcher Shop while an addition is being built for the post office.

Attend Rink Meeting on Wed., Aug. 27 - 7:30 in the meeting room below Town Office. Plans are being made for an Octoberfest on Oct. 18, 2014.
