CALDER - Cookbooks available

Well, the Calder Good Neighbour Centre has been busy for a month or so. The winners of the Whist Drives were: 1st- Norman Wozney, 2nd- Mildred Danylko, 3rd- Donna Fustey, low- Ann Mostowar.

Well, the Calder Good Neighbour Centre has been busy for a month or so. The winners of the Whist Drives were: 1st- Norman Wozney, 2nd- Mildred Danylko, 3rd- Donna Fustey, low- Ann Mostowar. Pot of Gold winners were Marlene Balabuck & Ann Mostoway.

Winners of the Silent Auction were as follows: Marlene Miller, Marlene Balabuck, Pete Swerhun, Ann Mostoway, Margie Mankish & Kendra Busch. Julia McLean won the door prize.

Julia McLean has her grandchildren our visiting with her. Logan & Eden are also visiting with their Auntie, Mary Sobkow while in Calder. All four motored out to Alberta to visit with family.

April Rohatensky from Calgary is out visiting with her mother, Marie Rohatensky. She, along with some friends have gone overseas for some of the summer holidays before heading back to Calder.
Sympathy goes out to the Rapchalk family for the recent passing of Dora Fuchs.

The Calder Rec. Board has purchased new Calder Yalenka Dance Signs. A big thank you to Graphic Ads from Humboldt for making the signs for us.

The Calder 100th Birthday Celebration has come and gone. The Community Hall was opened up for people to see the Calder Students artwork from school, Raymond Lacusta videos, Ukrainian displays and Alanna Busch Artwork.

A Big, huge thank you to In Good Taste Food Service from Togo for catering the supper for us. Thank you to the Lions Club for helping out at the dance.

Another thank you to Norman Rapchalk, Trevor & Nicole Rapchalk, Shane Morrison, Craig Marteniuk, Walter Balabuck, Adam & Jen, Thomas Antony and any others who helped out at the Calder Sports Ground. Each and every one of you did an amazing job. Thank you to the Calder Independant Dancers, the guest speakers, Scott Cornelius, Peter Swerhun & Steve Jesmer and the Takers. My apologies if I have forgotten anyone. Thanks once again for all your help.

Vicki Smandych of Estevan & Bernie Woods of Maple Ridge, BC visited with Marie Rohatensky and Tony & Violet Rohatensky. Jim Rohatensky from Winnipeg is currently out visiting family.
