Council moves forward on asphalt patching and property maintenance

Spending authorization on asphalt patching and lining up property maintenance services were among the items of interest to Town Council at its regular meeting June 15.

Council authorized the Public Works Department to spend up to $50,000 in 2021 for asphalt patching, to be funded by a combination of operating and reserve funding.

Council accepted the proposal of DM Property Maintenance Ltd. to provide property maintenance services under the Nuisance Abatement Bylaw at the quoted rate of $105 per hour to include: two workers, truck, trailer and small tools.

Council contributed $2,000 to the Health Foundation of East Central Saskatchewan for 2021.

A bylaw to enter into a curb replacement contract was introduced, read three times and adopted.
