The grades 6 and 7 social studies students at Canora Composite School held their annual International Bazaar.

The projects featured displays representative of countries bordering the Atlantic Ocean, which were taken on by the Grade 6 students, and the Pacific Ocean, by the Grade 7 students.

All the projects included information about the selected country’s culture, location and climate, said Jennifer Sleeva, an organizer. Many projects also had food samples from that country.

“The students did a fantastic job and were very good ‘tour guides’ for the many visitors who visited the bazaar,” Sleeva said, adding that at the beginning of each year, students are always excited to host the bazaar in June and ask to do the projects.

“It is a fun and educational morning and the students continue to excel each year,” she said.

Sleeva said that she, as well as the other social studies teachers, Alexandria Blatter, Cindy Sznerch and Karen Wilgosh, are very proud of their students.
