At approximately 9:30 p.m. on March 30, Kamsack RCMP were dispatched to the scene of a motor vehicle collision that occurred on Highway No. 8 just south of Kamsack.

A Pontiac Sunfire was travelling southbound and collided with a northbound Kia Sorrento, said a release from the Kamsack RCMP.

The driver of the Sorrento was taken to the Kamsack Hospital and transferred to hospital in Regina with non-life-threatening injuries, the release said. The driver and sole occupant of the Sunfire, a 26-year-old male from Kamsack, was pronounced deceased at the scene.

An RCMP collision analyst attended the scene and the matter remains under investigation, it said. Road conditions at the time of the collision were normal and alcohol is not believed to have been a factor.
