Car fire

Kamsack RCMP members received a call about a stuck vehicle.

The owner of the vehicle ended up getting the car stuck while driving with some friends. The owner later found that their vehicle had been set on fire by someone.

Kamsack members arrived at the scene to discover that the body and charred remains were all that was left of the vehicle.

Thefts

Kamsack RCMP received a call regarding a handful of thefts that occurred in Kamsack on April 27. A Kamsack resident left his garage door unlocked, and an unknown suspect had taken some of his motorcycle gear.

Another theft occurred the same day where a Kamsack resident left his vehicle unlocked and the suspect took some of his tools out of his work vehicle. There is a possible suspect attempting to sell said items, so keep an eye out, and contact Kamsack RCMP if you have any information.

Also, a reminder to everyone: please lock your garages, vehicles, and house doors at night, no matter where you are.

Warmer weather reminder

As the weather warms up in Kamsack, we want to remind all residents to keep pets secure, as there will be a lot of people walking around or riding their bicycles. We do not want a kid or an animal to get hurt.

We have also noticed a lot of speeding as the weather has gotten a bit nicer. Nicer weather does not mean drive faster. Be careful of pedestrians – especially young kids. We do not want to lose a life due to a careless driver.

More patrols will be made to ensure people are following the posted speed limits.

Gas bills

Kamsack RCMP members have received numerous calls in the last month of gas and dashes that have taken place.

Nine times out of ten, it is someone who forgets to pay the bill. These individuals go back on their own before we get to the gas station, or once we contact them, they realize they have forgotten.

Please try to remember to pay your gas bill! We know that people sometimes pump gas for us. So, we go into the store, have conversations, and pay for a snack, which may cause the gas to slip our mind. Try to remind yourself or advise the worker that you’re waiting on gas as you enter the store.

The gas stations are working towards having prepay put in to help solve this issue.
