Kamsack RCMP member charged with impaired driving

A Canora resident who is a member of the Kamsack RCMP detachment has been charged with impaired driving.

In the early morning hours of January 29, Canora RCMP members responded to a complaint of an erratic driver in Canora, said a release from RCMP Media Relations. The incident resulted in charges being laid against a serving member of the Kamsack detachment.

Sgt. Terence Wilson of Canora is charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle and Sgt. Wilson has 20 years of service with the RCMP, the release said. His next court appearance is scheduled for March 2.

He has been suspended with pay and an RCMP Code of Conduct investigation has been ordered, it said.
