KCI senior drama club staging a comedy with a heart

The Kamsack Comprehensive Institute senior drama club will be staging “a comedy with a heart” in a dinner theatre next week.

            The students will be presenting Moving by Lindsay Price at the school on March 30, in advance of entering the play in competition in Esterhazy on April 7.

            Directed by Krystal Deveau, the play is “is a rapid-fire character-driven comedy with a heart,” says the play’s synopsis. “A group of best friends help Darcy prepare for a date. She's taking extra special care: the right lip gloss, the right skirt. But why?

“Darcy's keeping secrets and she's not telling,” it says. “Andrea knows and it's only a matter of time before she explodes.”

Alanna Finnie is Bree; Alexis Koroluik, Linden; Allison Placatka, Rachel; Allison Thomsen, Andreay and Bre Bland is Darcy and “Hot Man.”

Shea Matwijeczko is in charge of lighting; Serina Wyllychuk, sound; Elisabeth Ashley is the stage manager, and Brayden Fatteicher, Lemay Bear and Chloe Irvine are in charge of props, sets, costumes and makeup.
