PREECEVILLE — The Parkland Regional Library, Preeceville branch kicked off its fun summer reading program, which is held every Wednesday from July 9 to August 20 at the library. Children aged 5 to 10 years old are encouraged to attend the weekly activity that features a craft. snacks and a different story each week.
"The program that is held during the summer months offers something to do over the summer months for the younger children. It also focuses on promoting reading and literacy," stated a release from the library.
The library is welcoming and encouraging children aged 5 to 10 years old to join in the fun and excitement at the library this summer.
Macy Mitchell is the coordinator who overseas the story time, crafts and snacks and the program themes varies each week.
There is no registration required, and is free and encourages children to get a library card.
