Man accused of trying to hit couple with vehicle in parking lot

Saskatoon Police say that a man and woman were in a parking lot when another man tried to hit them with his vehicle before he chased the man on foot and stabbed him.

SASKATOON – A 24-year-old man has been charged after a man was stabbed Sunday.

Timothy Jokino-John makes his first appearance in Saskatoon Provincial Court Monday on charges of aggravated assault, assault with a weapon, and breach of a release order.

Saskatoon Police Service says that officers were called to the 100 block of Shillington Cres. Around noon on Sept. 27 about a report of an injured person. When they arrived they found a 51-year-old man suffering from a stab wound. Police say that the man and woman had been in a parking lot when another man attempted to hit them with his vehicle before chasing the victim on foot and stabbing him. The man was taken to hospital for treatment.

Police say the accused and victim are known to each other.
