SASKATOON — A 39-year-old man was arrested after fleeing from police on the 800 Block of Hampton Circle on Saturday.
At approximately 9:30 a.m., Saturday, police officers observed a Honda Accord disobey a traffic signal at the intersection of 33rd Street and Avenue G North.
When officers attempted to conduct a traffic stop, the vehicle fled and was seen travelling at high rates of speed and ignoring traffic signals.
The vehicle was abandoned in the area of 400 block of Coad Crescent, and a canine tracked and located the suspect in an apartment in the 800 block of Hampton Circle.
The suspect, upon his arrest, was found to possess a knife. He is charged with Dangerous Driving, Evade Police, Possession of a Dangerous Weapon, and Carrying Concealed Weapon.
