Nipawin Hawks hire new assistant coach

The Nipawin Hawks have announced that Mark Chase has accepted the position of Asst Coach/Asst GM for the upcoming season. Chase joins the Hawks after spending the 2018/19 season as Head Coach/GM of the Osoyoos Coyotes of the KIJHL.

The Nipawin Hawks have announced that Mark Chase has accepted the position of Asst Coach/Asst GM for the upcoming season.

Chase joins the Hawks after spending the 2018/19 season as Head Coach/GM of the Osoyoos Coyotes of the KIJHL.

Prior to Osoyoos Chase spent two years with the Melville Millionaires as their Asst Coach under former Hawks Asst Coach Devin Windle.

In addition to his time spent coaching junior hockey he has coached at all levels of minor hockey including two years as a Head Coach with the Midget Major team in Kamloops, BC. 

Chase also spend portions of his off seasons coaching multiple spring hockey teams within the Kamloops Jr. Blazers program.

Chase's experience also includes a short time as a WHL scout for the Prince George Cougars.

“I’m enthusiastic about the opportunity to coach the Niapwin Hawks along side Doug Johnson this season. I hope to cotribute to, and build on the success the Hawks have had over the past few seasons. I look forward to investing my time supporting the development of the player’s skills and tactical knowledge of the game.” he said.
