That time of the year has come for a spotlight to be shone on some deserving individuals and businesses that make Outlook a great community to live in.
The 8th annual Community Appreciation Awards Night takes place on Wednesday, April 18 at the Outlook Civic Centre, presented by the Outlook & District Chamber of Commerce and The Outlook.
The event highlights the newest recipients of the Jim Kook Citizen of the Year, Business of the Year, Youth of the Year, and Community Event of the Year awards.
Right now, a call for nominations is going out to the public in order to name those who one may feel is most deserving of any of the four accolades. When deciding, you may want to ask yourself questions such as: who is someone who continuously works to make Outlook a better place with their volunteer efforts and people skills? What young person has the kind of qualities that one looks for in a responsible adult? Which local business has gone above and beyond with their product and customer service? Which community event stood out the most and was the most memorable?
Nomination forms can be picked up at AG Foods, Outlook Printers, A&E Enterprises, and the Co-op Marketplace. Nominees must reside in Outlook and district.
The deadline for nominations is March 9.
