Last week was proclaimed to be Kin Canada Week across the country, recognizing the work being done by Kinsmen Club groups all over Canada for the betterment of their respective communities, and also marking a monumental 100 years of the Kin Canada organization.

To celebrate Kin Canada reaching an entire century, members of the Outlook Kinsmen Club gathered with councillors and staff from the Town of Outlook at the town offices building to perform a special flag raising ceremony at sunrise on Thursday morning, February 20.  As well, a special proclamation was signed by the Kinsmen and town council marking Kin Canada Week prior to raising the flag.

One hundred years of service to their communities is a historic achievement for Canada’s assorted Kinsmen Clubs.  That level of service is most definitely felt here at home, as the Outlook Kinsmen Club is routinely out and about in the community, lending a hand and donating much-needed funds to local organizations and causes.  At this time of the year, the Club is steering their efforts towards raising money for Telemiracle 44, which takes place from March 7-8 in Regina.
