Preeceville Atom Pats win Tisdale tournament

The Preeceville Atom Pats won the Tisdale tournament on December 12 and 13. The Pats defeated The Pas in the first game of the weekend with a 10-1 final score. In their second game, the Pats defeated Kelvington/RV by a score of 7-2.

The Pats defeated The Pas in the first game of the weekend with a 10-1 final score. In their second game, the Pats defeated Kelvington/RV by a score of 7-2. In Preeceville’s third game, the Pats shut out the LaRonge team with a final score of 10-0. In the A-final game, the Pats skated to a 14-2 win over Tisdale.

            The atoms also saw action earlier in the week, playing against the Yorkton Terriers on December 10. The Pats easily out-skated and out-shot the Terriers to earn a 11-4 win. Scoring for the Pats were: Chaz Jaeb, four goals and Kaiden Masley with five goals. Singles were by Isaiah Maier and Zachary Sorgen. Assists were made by Nathan Newbery and Nathan Anaka.

            The Bantam Pats took on Grenfell in home game action on December 13. The game was very clean with only two penalties handed out. Both teams skated well and the game ended in a 2-2 tie. For the Pats, Dawson Paul scored the first goal assisted by Tyler Kopeck and the second goal was scored by Peyton Shewchuk, assisted by Jessie Biletski.

            The Bantam Pats took on Yorkton on December 8 but lost that game 6-2. Tyler Kopeck scored both goals. Dawson Paul picked up one assist.

            The Peewee Pats faced off against Yorkton on December 9 in home game action. The final score was 7-2 for the Pats. Scoring for the Pats were: Trever Geistlinger, two goals; Todd Pankratz, three goals, and singles by Dustin Shankowsky and Brynn Babiuk. Assists were by Pankratz, Jillian Tonn, Jakob Turchinetz, Babiuk, and Geistlinger.
