Preeceville Grade 4 students create fish art

The Preeceville Grade 4 students took up the challenge to create fish art that was submitted to the Saskatchewan Wildlife Federation fish art work contest. The contest ran from April 1 to May 31 and was open to Saskatchewan students in grades 4-6.

The Preeceville Grade 4 students took up the challenge to create fish art that was submitted to the Saskatchewan Wildlife Federation fish art work contest.

The contest ran from April 1 to May 31 and was open to Saskatchewan students in grades 4-6.

Categories included: colour or black-and-white posters, paintings, drawings or pastels. The subjects were to include native fish species of walleye, yellow perch, lake trout, northern pike, lake sturgeon and Artic grayling.

There were 28 entries for the Preeceville Grade 4 class and entries were to be sent to Moose Jaw for judging. The Preeceville wildlife branch was pleased to hear of the numerous entries. The organization provided a random draw for a fishing rod and reel. Haley Payette was the winner of the draw which was made by Heather Gawrelitza, club representative, on May 30.
