The peewee football season has started and after a few days of going over fundamentals, team members were “very excited to start hitting one another,” said Bill Dodge, coach.

“The coaching staff was pleased with the effort level of all the players and enjoy seeing the younger players learn more and more each practice,” he said. “This year’s team consists of 50 players. Peewee football helps develop players and the goal is to have the players have fun, learn the game of football, and use those skills in the games.”

The current schedule for this year’s peewee team includes games against Yorkdale on May 26 and against Wakaw on June 3. The home tournament is set for June 9.

There will also a peewee jamboree in Yorkton on June 18.
