“The ice hopefully should be put in place by the middle of October,” said Kent Seerey, president of Preeceville Mi-nor Hockey.

The IP division will be coached by Dean Serdachny with approximately 12 players signed up. Kent Seerey will be coaching the novice team with 13 players. Wes Jaeb is scheduled to coach the atom division team with approximately 16 players. Conrad Peterson will coach the peewee division with 17 players. The bantam division will be coached by Kipp Bayer and there will be a midget team based out of Preeceville but it’s still trying recruit a coach.

The Preeceville Figure Skating club is scheduled to begin with Corianne Metherell mentoring under Ronda Bilanchuk as instructor. There are more than 35 skaters registered.

“The rink itself is undergoing some updates with new heaters being installed in the outside seating area, along with newer seating being installed,” said Andrea Tonn. “The rubber matting has been put in with the main lobby part and the skating entrance area is being done, hopefully prior to opening season. The kitchen will also have a new surface and has received a new char boiler.”

The Preeceville Arena Board will be sponsoring a free skate once the ice gets installed but the date is still not determined.
