Cary Franklin, a Preeceville School teacher, had fun drawing moustaches on students’ faces this month in awareness of men’s health. He was photographed drawing a moustache on Matthew Newton’s face on November 15.

Cary Franklin, a Preeceville School teacher, took up the challenge in promoting and raising awareness of men's health issues such as prostate cancer, testicular cancer and men's suicide.

Franklin drew moustaches on students for a small denomination.

“Students had fun lining up in the hallway at recess to get a cool moustache personalized by me,” said Franklin.

“Movember is an annual event involving the growing of moustaches during the month of November,” he said. The goal of Movember is to change the face of men's health in a positive way. Movember aims to increase early cancer detection, diagnosis and effective treatments and ultimately reduce the number of preventable deaths.

“By adapting a fun manner into a serious matter, it sends a positive message to the students,” he said.
