Ten Saskatchewan women will once again set out on their snowmobiles January 31st on a 1,400 kilometre trek to raise money for equipment as well as bring awareness for breast cancer research.

Ten Saskatchewan women will once again set out on their snowmobiles January 31st on a 1,400 kilometre trek to raise money for equipment as well as bring awareness for breast cancer research.

            This will mark the 16th annual mission for Prairie Women on Snowmobiles (PWOS) and to date have raised $2.3 million for research and have raised $50,000.00 for much needed equipment for the Saskatoon and Regina cancer centres. 

            This year’s trek will leave Prince Albert on the January 31 and head east and work their way through the south eastern part of the province and the trek will end February 5 in Broadview.

            The 16 member team (including support staff) will be making a coffee stop in Canora for an event hosted by the Canora Wheatland Lioness.

            The Lioness Club welcomes everyone to come out and welcome the PWOS team at the Activity Centre of February 2 from noon to 1 p.m.
