Saskatchewan RCMP UPDATE:

Additional arrest/charges laid in relation to Laverdiere homicide investigation

This afternoon, Saskatchewan RCMP Major Crime Unit North arrested and charged a second individual in relation to the homicide investigation of Tiki Brook-Lyn Laverdiere.

32 year-old Danita Thomas (DOB: 1987-05-26) of North Battleford, has been charged with the following offences under the Criminal Code:

First degree murder Sec. 235(1);
Kidnapping Sec. 279(1.1)(b);
Improperly interfering with a human body Sec. 182(b); and
Theft of a motor vehicle Sec. 333.1.

Thomas is scheduled to make her first court appearance in North Battleford Provincial Court on Wednesday, July 24, 2019, at 9:30 a.m.

The homicide investigation remains ongoing, as such, Saskatchewan RCMP will not be providing interviews to the media at this time.
