This morning, Saskatchewan RCMP Major Crime Unit North arrested and charged a third individual in relation to the homicide investigation of Tiki Brook-Lyn Laverdiere.
18 year-old Brent Checkosis (DOB: 2000-12-04) of North Battleford has been charged with the following offences under the Criminal Code:
Accessory after the fact to murder Secs. 23(1) and 240;
Improperly interfering with a human body Sec. 182(b); and
Theft of a motor vehicle Sec. 333.1.
Checkosis is scheduled to make his first court appearance in North Battleford Provincial Court on Friday, July 26, 2019, at 9:30 a.m.
The homicide investigation remains ongoing; as such, Saskatchewan RCMP will not be providing interviews to the media at this time.
Officers expect to make additional arrests in the upcoming weeks.
