A structure fire that broke out on a farm west of Outlook last week called out local fire crews and emergency workers.
The blaze happened on the night of Wednesday, March 1 on a farm just off of Highway 15 in the RM of Fertile Valley, with emergency crews including the Outlook RCMP and EMS workers responding at approximately 8:00 pm.
Sgt. Mark Langager said the fire broke out in a structure that was only ten yards from the farm residence, found to be engulfed in flames upon arrival. Fortunately, firefighters put out the flames and the residence didn't catch on fire.
Sgt. Langager reported that the cause of the fire was a wood stove in the structure.
