The Sturgis Composite High School hosted senior 2A boys Conference playoffs on November 14. Teams that were vying for top spot to represent their school at Regionals included Cudworth, Muenster, Sturgis, and Norquay.
Sturgis kicked off the play with taking on Norquay. The team played hard and defeated Norquay in both games. The second game had Sturgis facing off against Cudworth. It was a nail-biter close match going three games. Cudworth came up on top by winning two games to Sturgis's one game.
The third game for Sturgis saw the team take on Muenster. Each team won one game with the third game coming down to the last few points. After a brutal hard set of games Muester came up on top by winning two games.
Other results were: Cudworth beat Muenster 2-1; Muenster beat Norquay 2-0
and Cudworth beat Norquay 2-0.
The final results recorded determined Cudworth placed first; Sturgis, second; Muenster, third; and Norquay, fourth.
