PREECEVILLE — The Preeceville Trinity United and the Sturgis Grace United Church hosted a United Church Vacation Bible School that attracted approximately 55 children from the Grace and Trinity United churches from July 21 to 25.
"The fun week was opened to all children in both communities," stated a representative. "The theme for the school this year was Rolling River Rampage”. It featured lessons, games, and healthy snacks and technology, the program was free and open to children 4 years old to grade 7,” a release stated.
The program was all about being good neighbours, using a different bible story each day with that theme as well as imagining travel to a different country and learning something about how that culture helped with being good neighbours. Approximately 25 children were registered with daily attendance ranging from 18 to 24. There were 11 daily leaders and several others who helped with decorating, set up and clean up in addition to the daily leaders.
The program was instructed by volunteers from the congregation and community.
