Sand and beach makes for fun sport

PREECEVILLE — A beach volleyball tournament with eight teams from various locations all dug deep looking for the coveted championship title.

The action-packed days featured a total of 15 grueling games played with the team known as the Elite Bulldogs of Preeceville coming out as the champions. This was the team’s second year back to back championship win.  The team known as Kiss My Ace from Melville played a hard-fought battle but placed second.

Other teams entered were the Power Rangers, Big Hittas, Beach Babes, Pink Piranhas, Chaos Crew and Super Athletes.

“The tournament was a huge success, with competitive players digging deep and having a lot of fun. The weather was great and we really want to thank everyone for coming out to make it such a great success,” said John Algabre, Lions member.
