Teens charged with murder on George Gordon First Nation

Two teen males who were charged cannot be identified as per the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

GEORGE GORDON FIRST NATION — As a result of investigation, two teen males have been charged with one count each of second-degree murder in relation to the death of 37-year-old Glenn Worme of George Gordon First Nation.

On May 4 around 11:30 p.m., Punnichy RCMP and EMS responded to a report of an injured individual on George Gordon First Nation. An injured adult male was located outside a residence – he was pronounced deceased on the scene. Upon further investigation, his death was determined to be suspicious in nature and Saskatchewan RCMP Major Crimes became engaged.

Two teen males – who cannot be identified as per the Youth Criminal Justice Act – have been charged and appeared in Wynyard Provincial Court on May 6.

Punnichy RCMP, Yorkton and Regina RCMP General Investigation Services, Yorkton RCMP Forensic Identification Services and Regina RCMP Police Dog Services and the Saskatchewan Coroner’s Service also assisted with this investigation.
