On the morning of Dec. 29, officers from the La Loche RCMP located 32-year-old Colin Evan Lemaigre at a residence in La Loche, SK, and arrested him without incident. He was wanted on warrant in relation to an incident that occurred outside of La Loche on December 21, 2019, that resulted in injuries to an RCMP officer.
Lemaigre is charged with the following:
Assaulting a Peace Officer with a Weapon – Sec. 270.01(2) of the Criminal Code (CC)
Fail to Stop when Pursued by Police – Sec. 320.17 CC
Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle – Sec. 320.18 CC
Obstruct Peace Officer – Sec. 129(a) CC
He made his first appearance in La Loche Provincial Court this morning (December 30, 2019).
The officer that was injured in the incident on December 21 has since returned to work.
