An 18-year-old male has been charged in relation to the homicide that occurred on Jan. 31, 2020, on the Star Blanket First Nation.
The male was arrested shortly after a 17-year-old male was located deceased in his residence after a report of an altercation.
Shauntay Keewatin (DOB: 2001-09-23) of the Star Blanket First Nation has been charged with Second Degree Murder, contrary to Sec. 235(1) of the Criminal Code. He will make his first court appearance in Fort Qu'Appelle Provincial Court on Monday, February 3, 2020 at 10:00 a.m.
At the request of the family, the name of the deceased will not be released.
