When she refused to give him any money, an unknown male assailant allegedly shot a woman walking on Idylwyld between Minto Place and Stanley Place.

SASKATOON - A 46-year-old woman is recovering from a non life-threatening gunshot following a report of an injured person Wednesday night.

Just before 110 p.m., on Sept. 1, Saskatoon Police Service responded to a call to a business on Idylwyld Drive North.

Officers, once they arrived on the scene, questioned the victim. The woman told the police that she was walking on Idylwyld between Minto Place and Stanley Place when an unknown male approached her asking for money.

When she refused to give him any money, the unknown male assailant allegedly shot her.

The victim gave few details to describe the male suspect who was reportedly dressed in dark clothing, wearing a hat, and carrying a backpack.
