The Yorkton Tribal Council held a Remembrance Day ceremony today at 4:30 in the Painted Hand Casino.

The Legion held the traditional candelight tribute ceremony Sunday night in honour of fallen soldiers. The tradition was begun in the Netherlands, when Dutch children would light a candle to place on each grave of a Canadian soldier.

Eleven Kamsack air cadets with their three adult supervisors returned to Canada on June 8 after a nine day trip to Europe to help observe the 75th anniversary of D-Day.
