The Town of Preeceville has been busy preparing for the Halloween season with the creation of a haunted forest.

The Lunn Hotel, a well-known business in Canora, has been under new ownership since July. The new owners are Frank and Anna Wu, originally from Hangzhou, China.

A new dental practice has opened its doors in Kamsack. Dr. Lena Raya began seeing patients at the River Valley Dental clinic located on Queen Elizabeth Boulevard East in the building many residents will remember as the former Doukhobor Prayer Home.

A. R Cash, the Johnny Cash tribute band, played a sold out concert when they took to the stage in Preeceville on October 12. "I think the concert really well." said Stacey Strykowski, organizer.

The October trade show played host to 40 vendors at the Preeceville Community Hall on October 6. The Preeceville Nursery School sponsored the event. Andrea Coder was the 50/50 raffle winner.
