The Preeceville midget hockey team played a home game against Esterhazy/ Churchbridge on December 10. The Pats fought hard but fell short with a loss of 5-3. Scoring for Preeceville were Sean Paligan (two goals) and Zac McGrisken.

The Town of Canora held another successful Winter Lights Festival with events occurring from December 4 to 11. The festival, which has been held annually in Canora, was “excellent yet again,” said Jo-Anne Sigurdson, community development officer.
