"How do you make a hamburger sad? Use BLUE cheese! Saltcoats School Archery program happens due to staff volunteering. Many students are involved and there have been local and other competitions that need to be travelled to.

Family and friends gathered at the Calder Good Neighbour Centre to help Gordon Kahut celebrate his 80th birthday. Marie Rohatensky is home after spending the winter months in Calgary and Kelowna with her children and grandchildren.

Irene Badowich accompanied by Debbie Bulitz & family travelled to Winnipeg last weekend to watch her son Frank Badowich curl. He curls on the Team Ontario rink. They were curling in the Canadian Police Curling Association National Championship.

Knox United Church held World Day of Prayers at the Church on Fri., March 7 at 10:10. The service was Streams in the Desert prepared by the women of Egypt. The prepared service was held followed by a DVD on Egypt. Lunch and fellowship followed.

Best wishes to Rose Marlatt who moved to Churchbridge to the Manor this past weekend. The community wish her well in her new home. There will be no service in the Bredenbury Know United on Feb. 23, 2014.

Sinclair Lewis said "Winter is not a season, it is an occupation." There is a Pot Luck Luncheon on the third Mondays of each month at the Stirling Room. The Laketown Leaders Seniors club host this event as an opportunity to share.
