The town of Bredenbury sold offlights, cords, timers, etc. from the Christmas lights displays on Sat., Nov. 30, from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. from the Town Hall Basement. The United Church Craft and Trade Show will take place upstairs. Lunch available.

BREDENBURY - Service dates set

Services in Bredenbury will be Dec. 1, 8, 15 at 10:20 a.m. and Dec. 22 will be the Joint Service at 10 a.m. in Bredenbury. Choir will be doing their Christmas music at that time. Everyone Welcome. Christmas Eve Service will be Dec. 24 at 7:30 p.m.

The Yorkton Legion always comes to Saltcoats School and Lakeside Manor Care Home was so pleased when the Legion made a stop there as well. The 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month was observed at Saltcoats and District community Hall.

DUBUC - Persistence pays at potluck

Coffee Row goers were blessed with another round of "free coffee" on Saturday morning when Maureen Toth bought for everyone and supplied fruit bread, cheese and sausage for a snack.

The Calder Annual Fall supper was a great turn out. The Calder rec Board would like to thank all the wonderful workers that turned out to help with this event.

There will be church services at 10:20 a.m. on Sun., Nov. 17 at the Bredenbury United Church. Joint Services in Langenburg on Sun., Nov. 24 at 10:00 a.m. Everyone Welcome. Cougars played their first game against Whitewood on Sat. evening. 5-4.

DUBUC - Cake for everyone

Word has been received in the community this week that Margaret Ruth Kendrick passed away peacefully at home in Calgary at the age of 98 on Tues., Oct. 22, 2013. She was born at Broadview, Sask. on Feb.

DUBUC - Passing of Rodney Johnson

October has been a good month of celebrating birthdays at coffee row. Bun Flick treated everyone on Saturday morning by buying coffee and bringing some goodies for us to enjoy for her birthday.

Bredenbury cancels Christmas lights

A venerable Christmas tradition is no more. For two decades, Bredenbury, Saskatchewan has put on a show of Christmas lights that propelled the town of 329 people 40 kilometres southeast of Yorkton to national and even international acclaim.

DUBUC - New visitors at coffee row

James and Vivian Talbot were in Regina where Jim kept another medical appointment last week. A lovely Thanksgiving potluck supper was served up at the hut last Wednesday.
