Baseball is officially back in Saskatchewan, and the Parkland AAA 18U Expos had their first busy weekend playing four games. Saturday saw the Expos play a doubleheader in Melville against the Swift Current 57's.

The Yorkton U13 AAA Expos had a good Saturday at Jubilee Park in the city. The Expos hosted the Regina Buffalos in doubleheader action. In the opening match-up the Expos recorded an 8-3 win, with Chase Hembling the winning pitcher.

Action in the South East Saskatchewan Baseball League is about to hit the diamond for a new season with five teams involved including three local teams; the Yorkton Pirates, newly minted Marlins and the 18U Cardinals.

The Rhein Rockets began defence of their Richardson Pioneer Men's Fastball League crown Thursday hosting the Fishing Lake Cubs.

The Parkland Expos AAA U18 team were in Regina Tuesday to face The Regina Wolfpack. The Expos did strike for two in the top of the first inning, but the home side responded with six in the home half of the frame and never looked back.

The Southeast Senior Baseball League is about to kick-off its 2021 season, albeit with a shortened schedule and fewer teams. “We’re going to give it a go,” said Mark Jacobs with the Parkland Pirates, one of four teams in the league this summer.

With the display at the Gallagher Centre revitalized and expanded, and museum artefacts being catalogued this summer, the Yorkton Sports Hall of Fame and Museum reported on a very active year at its annual general meeting held May 26.
