Hockey players of all ages will be benefit from the Adam Herold Legacy hockey and leadership development camp. The Preeceville Minor Hockey Association will host the hockey school from November 30 to December 1 and January 4 and 5.

The Yorkton Terriers offence caught fire for six goals Tuesday night, coming out with a win over Battlefords as a result. Chantz Petruic started the scoring at the Farrell Agencies Arena with his fifth goal of the season for the Terriers.

The Deer Park Senior Men’s Club recently presented the City of Yorkton with a donation of $8,000. The money is in support of cart paths at Deer Park Golf Course.

Greg Mulhall is done with Junior hockey in Saskatchewan for the current season.

The Yorkton Terriers were in Weyburn Friday were they found themselves down 1-0 after 20-minutes of play after Jacob Piller scored for the Red Wings on the powerplay 9:05 into the contest.

The Yorkton Raider Gridders headed south Saturday to play Albert E. Peacock Collegiate. “It went really well,” said Yorkton coach Jason Boyda. “We got a big win 37-0.” The win didn’t come easy, especially early in the game.

Hudson Bailey, a student athlete at Canora Composite School, has been invited to participate in a basketball program known as Centre for Performance Green Pod South.

The SMAAAHL hockey season did not begin how the Yorkton Secon Maulers would have hoped. The home opener saw the team meet the Tisdale Trojans at the Farrell Agencies Arena. The Tisdale squad was the dominant one.

The Norquay and Sturgis combined senior girls’ volleyball team hosted a home tournament at the Sturgis Composite School on September 6 and 7. The tournament featured six teams: Sturgis, Kamsack, Ituna, Canora, Leroy and Sacred Heart.

Yellowhead International Speedway held its final day of racing for the season Subday. The event was sponsored by Biblow Ag Ventures and Dr. Bree Rogoza.
