Golf season is beginning, and Yorkton’s Kade Johnson is starting to get attention. The golfer finished first in the Arkansas Collegiate golf tournament, and his team also took home the prize.

Children in the Sturgis area have welcomed the opportunity to play ball once again. The Sturgis minor ball committee established teams of young players in T-ball, rookie, mosquito, peewee and bantam levels.

The Jr. Royals took on the Fishing Lake Cubs in the Richardson Pioneer Fastball League. Nathen Pomedli went 3-3 and combined with Koby Faubert for 12 strikeouts as Junior Royals came back from a 4-1 deficit to remain undefeated.

Four members of the Rosebud Junior Royals attended the Western tryout camp for the 2020 Junior Men’s National Team in Saskatoon. The camp started with a fitness test involving the beep test, push ups, sit ups and plank timing.
