On November 10 the Kamsack Peewee Flyers hosted the first home game of the hockey season versus the Melville Mavericks, and won in a real barn burner.

It was the season-opening game for the Kamsack Atom Flyers on Monday November 12 at the Broda Sportsplex. The home team welcomed the Preeceville Atom Pats and came away with a well-earned victory.

The Canora Atom Cobras travelled to Wadena on November 10 for the Wadena Panthers home tournament and came home with a first-place win, said Jeff Sznerch, coach.

It was the YRHS senior boys’ volleyball team’s first provincial visit in six years, but it was not their first provincial win. The young team, with only one grade 12 student, played in the 5A provincial tournament on Nov. 16-17 in Prince Albert.
