Dear Editor, Canada’s world-class grain industry spurs economic growth, job creation and prosperity across the country.

What will our city, country and world look like in a decade? Or 50-years from now? Those are questions many of us have considered, especially if we are the age to have children and grandchildren who will be around as the future unfolds.

Over the years there have been many stories of European farmers pulling up roots and moving to Canada. There have generally been two motivating factors in the decision to make what is a huge change. The first has been simple economics.

The seasonal site where we’ve parked our new-to-us camping trailer for the summer is close enough to home to commute back and forth easily. We hope to do that often.

Out of respect I do ask that you pause for a moment of silence for the last Canadian team to have a chance to win the Stanley Cup.

It is very interesting to know what was going on in the North West Territories, especially in the years just before settlement of the Yorkton area in 1882. There were more men from Eastern Canada than we think who were roaming these parts.

I’ve come down with a major affliction. I took my vitamins and avoided rotten fruits, but to no avail. I’m ill. It’s official: I’ve got Spring Cleaning Fever. When I had a day off recently, I spent the majority of my morning cleaning my apartment.
