Dear Editor: Having not yet recovered from the trauma of Mr.

I t seems every time we turn around someone is trying to limit where and when we as individuals can do certain things. Certainly civilization requires some over-arching rules to avoid complete anarchy.

Car theft. Property theft. A colorful variety of vandalism. Ignoring danger and caution signs. Dumping garbage at night to avoid paying a charge. And apparently, if the social media postings are legit, beatings and physical assault.

“Books” the Preacher announced just the other day, “are our friends, and we should never mind seeing them sitting around all over our home.” That bit of wisdom he quoted from his favourite scholarly writer.
