David Gilmour - Rattle That Lock If you were like me and was left wanting more Floyd after hearing last year’s Pink Floyd instrumental offering “The Endless River”, problem solved.

View from the Cheap Seats is kind of an extension of the newsroom. Whenever our three regular reporters, Calvin Daniels, Thom Barker and Randy Brenzen are in the building together, it is frequently a site of heated debate.

The “House business” that needs to be cleaned up before the next provincial election hardly merits the fall sitting that begins next week.

I wish I could vote for Hillary Clinton. Given that we sleep with the elephant, and everything south of the border affects us, it would only seem fair that we could vote in US elections.

The editor: It was a breath of fresh air for me to read the Letter to the Editor by Edward Sagan of Melville in the September 17 issue of the Canora Courier entitled The Tories Turned Back the Clock 115 Years.

For much of this election, the issues have been a lot of blah, blah, blah to most people.

There is a federal election on. In fact it’s been on far longer already than any election in the modern age of electronic social media should ever be.

Okay, I have decided to come clean and admit it. I have an addiction. I know it’s hard to believe that such a fine, upstanding citizen such as myself could have a problem, but it’s true and it’s time for me to face the fact.

With the federal election upon us, farmers as well as most voters are listening to the promises of politicians.

Canadians will gather this weekend to celebrate Thanksgiving, and perhaps this year the time afforded to reflect on what we have is more important than any recent year. Our country is one where we have much to be thankful for.
