Friday is Aboriginal Day in Canada, a day which celebrates the culture of the first Canadians.

Dear Editor: Several weeks ago, the nation saw a TV report of abuse of an elderly woman in a Peterborough, Ontario nursing home.

So, police spend five months building a case against numerous drug dealers. This involves painstaking and potentially dangerous undercover work, coordination of several agencies, execution of dozens of warrants and multiple arrests.

Perhaps the old line that rural municipalities are about gravel and gopher poison was never quite true. But it's certainly safe to say that Saskatchewan RMs these days are dealing with issues far more complex than that.

I am told that bringing up the subject of daylight savings time in Saskatchewan "brings out the crazies.
