OUTLOOK - A volunteer event spotlighted the efforts being done in the community to continue maintaining the quality of life for those living in long term care.

Outlook LTC (Long Term Care) at the Pioneer Home recently hosted a heartwarming Volunteer Appreciation Luncheon to celebrate the incredible individuals who give their time and compassion to our residents.

Recreation staff, along with the residents planned the luncheon. Residents took on the role of greeters, MC and personalized their appreciation to each volunteer in attendance by reading them out loud. Everyone in attendance was asked to share a moment that touched their heart.

Feedback from the volunteers was that they appreciated being together with other volunteers as it deepened the sense of community. The event closed with a group photo and cards handmade by residents. It was a beautiful afternoon of connection, gratitude, and shared smiles—highlighting the lasting impact of volunteerism in our home.
