KENASTON - A vehicle fire brought out members of the Kenaston Volunteer Fire Department.

The blazing car, located one kilometer north of the village on July 23, saw seven KVFD crew members respond with four units.

Upon their arrival, the vehicle was found to be fully engulfed in flames, with the occupants being unharmed. One crew member donned full gear to combat the flames while others established traffic control and pulled an attack line. The fire was quickly brought under control using a fire suppression foam.

The fire crew remained on the scene in order to monitor for any flareups, and also cleaned debris from the highway.

The members were then released from the scene by the RCMP while awaiting a tow truck.
