Floyd Arthur Head passed away at Regina General Hospital on June 30, 2015 at the age of 74. Floyd is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Stanyce. They were married at North Prairie Lutheran Church on August 1, 1964.

Floyd Arthur Head passed away at Regina General Hospital on June 30, 2015  at the age of 74. Floyd is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Stanyce. They were married at North Prairie Lutheran Church on August 1, 1964.

Floyd is lovingly remembered by his wife Stanyce, his children Naomi, David (Violet), Caleb (Stefanie),  his brothers Jim, Gordon and his sister Phyllis, as well as his eight grandchildren. Floyd was born in Humboldt, SK on September 5, 1940.  Floyd attended the Midland School in the Endeavour area in his younger years.

He later received his GED. Floyd began work at Rosaasen Farms where he met his wife Stanyce. He also worked on the Gardner Dam Project, the Federal Grain Elevator in Tullis and North West Pulp and Paper in Hinton Alberta. Floyd later opened his own Shoe Repair Shop in Preeceville, SK where he worked until 1991 before transitioning to farming full time. Floyd enjoyed horses, showing cattle, baseball, watching his wife Stanyce skate and attending his grandchildren’s functions.

The funeral service was held at Evangel Tabernacle in Preeceville, SK on July 4, 2015. The officiating Pastor was Lynn Rosaasen and music was done by Clayton Rosaasen. The Internment followed at Preeceville Community Cemetery with lunch held later at the Preeceville Legion Hall.
