Rob Wilcott, president of the Sturgis branch of the Saskatchewan Wildlife Federation gave a brief overview of the club's highlights during the Sturgis branch annual banquet and awards on April 13.

The Sturgis branch of the Saskatchewan Wildlife Federation honoured avid hunters and fishermen at the annual banquet and trophy night on April 13 at the Sturgis Community Hall.

The Preeceville branch of the Saskatchewan Wildlife Federation (SWF) was responsible for teaching students valuable lessons in gun safety at the Preeceville School. The firearm safety course began on April 1 and concluded April 11.

Ketchen Auto Body officially closed its doors on April 1 after owners Norman Johnson and Dallas Fairburn made the difficult decision to retire after 38 years in business. “It was not an easy decision for us but one that we had to face,” said Johnson.

The Barveenok Ukrainian Dance Club hosted its annual spring concert with the talent of many dancers showcased at the Sturgis Composite High School on April 7.

The Whitehawk Arts Council celebrated its 40th year anniversary with a special ceremony that was accompanied by entertainment showcasing the arts at the Preeceville Trinity United Church on April 6.
